Ok i make a boom gate which is closed/down, when you shoot it, it goes to the open/up position.
I made a husk with the boom in up position so when you shoot it it shows up position.

Question is how do i make it respawn after x amount of time so it is closed again?
Is this done in the items.def or ?

Ok i tried a different approach this time.
I'm trying to make boom gate go up/down same as a door opens/closes
I have redone the model in 3d max to suit the situation.
Now i seem to have the issue with the OED
I can make it rotate, spin, go up/down and do all sorts of thing but can't seem to make it just open/close as a door does. It is either rotating or not move at all.
Anyone know what i might be doing wrong in the OED?

it would be sweet if i can figure the settings out correctly lol.
It would mean you can have doors that open/close, sliding windows, sliding doors. You could even do a draw bridge quite easy like in DFLW

Got it all working, i was missing something in the items def Smile

So now if you bump the gate it will open and close again when you bump the post, so cool mission accomplished. A boom gate that goes up/down

The CD (Collision for Doors) is the trigger to open the door. Normally one would make it bigger than the door so when bumped it triggers the door to open.
What you could do in 3dmax is change where you put the trigger (CD)
You could have a button/switch on the wall near the doors to trigger them which would be cool if they were large sliding doors
