Purchasing a Novalogic game these days you are best buying a digital version which has the latest updates included. Compared to the old CD where you have to chase up the correct updates and patches.

Steam seem to be the most popular means of getting a Nova game but many are having issues on Windows 10.

First off ALL Novalogic games work on Windows 10!

Game not starting properly or giving errors is most times DirectPlay not being enabled, by default it is not enabled so lets enable it.

Right click the windows start menu icon and click "Search"
Type "turn windows feature on or off" and click "Turn Windows feature on or off" below "Best match"
Scroll down to "Legacy Components"
Click the "+" to the left of "Legacy Components"
Put a Tick in the box next to "DirectPlay"
Click OK and a window will appear, click close when done.

The above should fix most issues using win10.

Hi Hibees and welcome.
I have noticed your post on NW but not replied as i don't have an answer for you.

Just to recap
Your trying to play AW2 on JO CD version
Your Game freezes intermittently, but only since you went to Win10

This sounds like a PC issue but im unsure as i have not come across it before
